Mid-Atlantic Patient Safety Conference 2026
The Mid-Atlantic Patient Safety Conference 2026 invites hospital and health system leaders and safety champions, and also safety ecosystem contributors—including device manufacturers, suppliers, health IT developers, and care environment designers—to join us in shaping a safer, more resilient healthcare system. This year, we extend a special invitation to members of the broader healthcare ecosystem to join the conversation. Last year’s call to action from our Board Chair revealed a critical gap in representation. Now is the time to bring every voice to the table. Together, we can forge stronger collaborations and drive forward the solutions that will shape the future of patient safety. The event is an exclusive discussion on patient safety with thought leaders and those on the ground driving change in health care.
As a kick-off to the annual conference is our Minogue Awards reception. This celebratory event will honor the region’s top patient safety innovators—including the recipients of the Minogue Award, Distinguished Achievement Award, and Circle of Honor for Patient Safety Excellence. By integrating the awards with the conference, we create an opportunity for attendees to learn from, connect with, and celebrate the teams driving meaningful change across our healthcare system.
The Mid-Atlantic region continues to lead the way in patient safety innovation, community engagement, and bold commitments to safer care. This event supports the collective community to come together to celebrate wins, learn and share, and challenge each other to rethink how we approach patient safety.
In 2025, the conference centered on the theme A New Era in Patient Safety and drew more than 600 participants, including over 500 in-person attendees. The conference introduced a fresh and dynamic format featuring interactive networking opportunities and sessions tailored to the latest trends in patient safety.
Participants explored a total systems approach to advancing safety and joined the coordinated national effort to embed strategies that prevent harm and shape the future of healthcare.
