The Maryland Hospital Hand Hygiene Collaborative led by the Maryland Patient Safety Center ended successfully in October 2014 with twelve (12) consecutive months of a sustained compliance rate of ninety percent (90%) or better. Forty four acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital participated in this collaborative.
